Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WildRoute AI ("WildRoute," "we," "us," or "our"), including the wildroute.ai website and the WildRoute mobile application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Informational Purposes Only — Important Disclaimer

All campsite locations, road conditions, route directions, bridge clearances, weather data, satellite imagery analysis, and safety service information provided by WildRoute is for informational purposes only.

You must independently verify all information with local land management agencies (BLM, USFS, NPS), county road departments, and ranger districts before relying on it. Road conditions, seasonal closures, fire restrictions, and land access rules change frequently and may not be reflected in our data.

WildRoute does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided through the Service. Using our AI-generated recommendations without independent verification is at your own risk.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your password, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized access. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

WildRoute offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal API usage
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or subscription restrictions
  • Submit false feedback or bug reports
  • Interfere with the Service's infrastructure or other users' access
  • Resell or redistribute data obtained from the Service

6. User-Generated Content

When you submit feedback, bug reports, trip data, or other content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content to operate and improve the Service. You retain ownership of your content and may request its deletion at any time.

7. AI-Generated Content

WildRoute uses artificial intelligence to generate campsite recommendations, road assessments, and other content. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. We do not warrant the accuracy or safety of AI-generated content. You should treat all AI-generated recommendations as suggestions that require independent verification.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WILDROUTE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, VEHICLE DAMAGE, TOWING COSTS, OR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM:

  • Reliance on campsite or road condition data
  • Following route directions that lead to impassable roads
  • Bridge clearance, road width, or weight limit data that proves inaccurate
  • Weather or satellite imagery analysis
  • Safety service listings (availability, hours, contact info)
  • Any other information provided through the Service

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold WildRoute harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is owned by WildRoute. Campsite data sourced from public agencies (BLM, USFS, NPS) is in the public domain. Our value-added analysis, AI-generated recommendations, and user interface are proprietary.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data before termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
